Men's Tennis Squad Prepares For UTA Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team embarks on its second fall tournament at the Texas-Arlington Invitational in Arlington, Texas, this weekend. The 15-team invitational begins on Friday, Oct. 12, and ends on Sunday, Oct. 14. Matches will be played at the UTA Tennis Arlington Tennis Centers.

The Sooners begin singles competition against Louisiana-Monroe and Texas on Friday at 10:30 a.m. OU squares off with Arkansas-Little Rock at 1 p.m followed by a meeting with Lamar at 3 p.m to round out the first day of play.

Other teams participating in the invitational are Wichita State, Baylor, Oklahoma Baptist, Tyler Junior College, Centenary, Texas-Pan American, Abilene Christian, Oklahoma Christian, Arkansas and Texas-Arlington.

On Saturday, the Sooners face OBU at 8:30 a.m. and WSU at 1p.m for two rounds of singles play. Oklahoma plays its first doubles matches against UTA and Baylor at 3 p.m.

Sunday's competition consists of doubles matches with UTPA and Centenary at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively.
