Veronique Drouin-Luttrell was named Oklahoma's head women's golf coach on June 24, 2009, and immediately began converting the Sooners into a perennial national power. She enters her 17th season at the helm of the program in 2025-26.

After taking over a program that finished in 10th place or worse in half of its events in 2008-09, Drouin-Luttrell has guided OU to top-five showings in over 50% of all tournaments during her tenure. OU has won 10 tournaments under her direction and has qualified for the NCAA Tournament on seven occasions, most recently in 2025.

In 2025, her entire roster earned academic honors from the SEC or Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and Drouin-Luttrell has seen her student-athletes collect 30 WGCA All-American Scholar honors.

The top 20 54-hole scores in school history have come under her watch, and she has presided over the 23 lowest rounds in OU annals. Additionally, Drouin-Luttrell has watched her golfers claim six All-America honors and 12 individual tournament titles.

The 2012, 2013 and 2014 OU squads finished sixth, ninth and fourth, respectively, at the NCAA Championships. Prior to that stretch, the Sooners had posted one top-10 national finish in school history (sixth place in 2002). The 2014 showing was the program’s highest ever.

In 2012, Chirapat Jao-Javanil, one of Drouin-Luttrell's initial OU recruits, became the program's first individual NCAA champion and OU's only WGCA All-America First Team selection. She won the national title by four shots (-6) in a field of 126 competitors in Franklin, Tenn.

Drouin-Luttrell’s squads won the 2012 and 2014 Big 12 Championships. The 2014 team shattered the previous Big 12 Championship scoring record by 11 strokes, and Jao-Javanil claimed the individual crown. Drouin-Luttrell was named Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2014 and Women's Golf Coaches Association Central Region Coach of the Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Drouin-Luttrell came to OU after serving as an assistant coach at Georgia from 2006-2009. In her first full season at Georgia, the Bulldogs won two prestigious events -- the Golf Daytona Beach Fall Preview and the SEC Championship. Drouin-Luttrell also served as interim head coach during the 2007 Central Regional and NCAA Championships, leading the Bulldogs to second- and eighth-place finishes, respectively.

Before her time at Georgia, Drouin-Luttrell was a graduate assistant at Kent State for two-and-a-half years. She also enjoyed a standout playing career with the Golden Flashes as the 2000 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Freshman of the Year, the 2003 MAC Golfer of the Year and a three-time first-team All-MAC performer.

As a senior, Drouin-Luttrell helped lead Kent State to a second-place finish at the 2003 Central Regional and a 19th place showing at the NCAA Championships. Two years earlier, she helped lead the Golden Flashes to a 15th-place finish at the 2001 NCAAs, the program's best effort ever.

Following her collegiate career, Drouin-Luttrell continued to compete as an amateur, and she finished 2006 at No. 8 in Canada's national rankings. She was runner-up at the 2006 Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur Championship after tying for medalist honors and falling in a playoff.

Her additional amateur highlights include: advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2005 British Ladies' Amateur; representing Canada at the 2003 Commonwealth Games and the 2003 and 2005 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship; winning the 2001 and 2003 Quebec Amateur Championship; finishing eighth at the 2004 Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur; and finishing fifth in stroke play qualifying at the 2004 British Ladies' Am.

A native of Saints-Anges, Quebec, Drouin-Luttrell received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State in the spring of 2003 and her master's in sports management from Kent State in 2007. She married her husband, Evan, in March 2012.
