DENTON, Texas — Four different Sooners homered and OU tallied a 10-run fourth inning as No. 4 Oklahoma (20-2) defeated North Texas (10-13), 16-4, in five innings Tuesday, March 3.
Isabela Emerling homered twice and drove in five, while
Ella Parker,
Kendall Wells and
Sydney Barker all went deep.
Ella Parker added five RBI to her name while freshman
Kai Minor extended her hitting streak to 17 games with a 4-for-4 game that had her finish a home run shy of the cycle.
The Sooners' home run total is now upped to 91 on the season through 22 games. The Sooners have five more non-conference games prior to league play opening up March 13.

Kendall Wells homered and
Isabela Emerling drove another in with a sac fly to give OU a 2-0 lead after two.
Miali Guachino settled in and spun three scoreless innings on just 34 pitches, keeping OU in the lead.
OU opened the floodgates in the fourth, scoring 10 runs via nine hits, four home runs and 15 batters to the plate. Emerling homered twice in the frame, while
Ella Parker launched a three-run home run and
Sydney Barker added her second long ball in as many games.
OU tacked on four more in the fifth thanks to RBI singles from Minor, Barker and
Ella Parker. UNT scored its first runs of the game in the bottom of the fifth, but OU held North Texas off to secure the run rule.
