NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams open the outdoor season Friday and Saturday at the TCU Alumni Invitational, hosted at the Rowdon Track Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.
The two-day meet begins Friday at 9 a.m. CT with the men's discus throw, while Saturday kicks off at 9 a.m. CT with the women's 5,000 meters.
The Sooners will have several athletes back for the outdoor season who withheld their indoor eligibility during the indoor campaign, including Agur Dwol. The senior enters the outdoor season as the program indoor record holder in the triple jump (13.75m (45'1.50")) and brings an impressive resume, highlighted by a 2025 NCAA Indoor title, multiple First Team All-America honors and SEC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year recognition.
The Oklahoma men's and women's teams wrapped up the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center last weekend. The Sooner men finished 11th nationally with 18.5 points, marking the program's best indoor finish since 1997. Several Sooners earned All-America honors, including First Team recognition from Kyren Washington, Trey Bartholomew, Tyson Ritz and BJ Green.
The Sooners are in their second season in the SEC, one of the premier conferences in collegiate track and field. In their inaugural season, Oklahoma captured eight individual conference titles and finished fourth on the women's side at the 2025 SEC Indoor Championship. At the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, the men earned a sixth-place finish, the program's best outdoor nationals result in 28 years.
