Sooners Run-Rule Auburn in Six Innings, 13-5

NORMAN — No. 4 Oklahoma got four home runs from a trio of lefty bats and the Sooners broke open for a nine-run second inning as the Sooners (26-2, 1-0 SEC) won, 13-5, in six innings against (RV) Auburn (19-8, 2-2 SEC) in the Southeastern Conference opener Friday night.

The Sooners have won 15 conference openers in a row, while also bringing OU to 15-straight wins on the season.

OU 13, Auburn 5 (6 inn.)
After a scoreless opening inning, Auburn punched first, getting a three-run home run from Haven Roebuck to take the lead. But, OU bounced back by sending 14 batters to the plate while homering three times to take a 9-3 advantage. Gabbie Garcia started the frame with a solo shot, while Kasidi PIckering and Ella Parker hit back-to-back homers to right. The lefties continued to flaunt their production in the inning as Kai Minor tripled and doubled and Abby Dayton drove in two more with a double of her own.

Auburn pecked away with two more solo home runs, but Garcia hit a three-run homer in the fourth and Allyssa Parker singled in the final run after posting two scoreless in the circle.
