ABOUT THE SOONERS
Oklahoma opens the season ranked No. 25 in the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Pocock Preseason Poll. OU was one of three SEC teams ranked in the top 25, joining No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Tennessee.
Junior Brooklyn Holland was named to the 2026 For Stars Network Watch List, the organization announced. A native of Moore, Oklahoma, Holland was a key member of the Varsity Eight lineup last season, seeing action in all seven regattas. The watch list recognizes athletes nominated by members of the FSN Core Staff and selected based on multiple performance criteria, including results from the 2024–25 rowing season, conference and national championship lineups and finishes, fall 2025–26 racing performances, comparative ergometer times, international competition results, positive year-to-year development, and coaching staff nominations.
The 2026 season marks head coach Sarah Trowbridge's fourth year leading the Sooners. The 2025 season was highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the SEC Championship, including a third-place result in the 1V8+.
