Sooners Wrap Up Competition at Ohio State Regatta

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The No. 24 Oklahoma rowing team earned three race wins and eight top-three finishes Saturday at the Ohio State Spring Regatta on Griggs Reservoir.
Oklahoma opened the morning session against No. 11 Michigan and Notre Dame with a win in the 1V8+ to lead the Sooners. The 2V4+ and 3V8+ added second-place finishes, while the 2V8+ and 1V4+ each placed third.
Racing against No. 21 Ohio State and Notre Dame in the afternoon session, the Sooners collected two race wins from the 2V4+ and 3V8+. Oklahoma also recorded three runner-up finishes in the 1V8+, 2V8+ and 1V4+.
Up next, Oklahoma travels to Orlando, Fla., for the inaugural Orlando Invite, a multi-team regatta set for April 17-18 on Lake Pickett. The field includes host No. 14 UCF, No. 16 Penn, No. 17 Duke, No. 18 Miami, No. 23 Alabama, No. 25 Clemson and SMU.
