Sooners Conclude Racing at Orlando Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. — The No. 24 Oklahoma rowing team recorded five top-three finishes and two wins over two days at the Orlando Invitational Regatta on Lake Pickett.
Oklahoma opened racing Friday morning in the First Varsity Eight (1V8+), placing third in Heat 2 against No. 14 Duke and No. 13 Alabama. The Sooners also added a third-place finish in the Second Varsity Four (2V4+) against No. 11 UCF, No. 15 Miami and SMU.
On Saturday, Oklahoma picked up a pair of B final wins, highlighted by first-place finishes from the First Varsity Four (1V4+) and Third Varsity Four (3V4+).
Up next, Oklahoma travels to Raleigh, N.C., for the Lake Wheeler Invitational, a multi-team regatta co-hosted by Duke and North Carolina, set for April 24-25. The Sooners will compete in a deep field of 20 teams representing five conferences.
