NORMAN —

Audrey Lowry combined for seven innings of shutout softball and
Ella Parker hit a grand slam in the third inning as No. 3 Oklahoma (34-3) earned a 6-0 win against UCF (23-17-1) Friday, April 4 on the second day of the Okana Invitational.
Oklahoma earned its ninth shutout victory on the season and first seven-inning shutout win since defeating No. 15/12 Arkansas, 7-0, March 15.
OU 6, UCF 0
Landry handled the fielding duties early, helping turn a double play in the first inning to strand a UCF runner in scoring position.
The Sooners got on the board first, plating two in the bottom of the second.
Cydney Sanders walked and
Ailana Agbayani beat out a bunt just before
Isabela Emerling lined a double through the wind in left, scoring Sanders. After a walk to
Abigale Dayton, Dayton baited a throw from the UCF catcher, allowing Emerling to score from third for the 2-0 lead.
Ella Parker made it 6-0 in the third with one swing, hitting a grand slam to left.
Nelly McEnroe-Marinas walked,
Kasidi Pickering singled and
Gabbie Garcia put down a bunt single before her.
OU almost added a few more in the fourth as the Sooners loaded the bases for
Sydney Barker with two away. Barker roped a line drive that was caught by a leaping Aubrey Evans at shortstop.
Lowry entered with two outs in the fifth and retired all seven batters that she faced in 2.1 scoreless innings as OU won, 6-0.
