Sooners in Fourth Through Second Round of MountainView Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – Oklahoma will enter the final round of the MountainView Collegiate in fourth place, just six shots behind No. 18 Arizona, after beginning the day with a narrow lead. The Sooners carded a 308 (+20) in the second round, the fourth-lowest round of the day.
Freshman Audrey Rischer (-2, 2nd) leads the Sooners, sitting four strokes back of Kansas State's Carla Bernat, the 36-hole leader at the par-72 Preserve Golf Club in Tucson. Rischer's 2-over 74 was the team's low round Monday, as the 77-player field averaged 78.49 in the second round – nearly five strokes higher than Sunday's 73.78 average.
Junior Gracie Mayo (+3, T8) held her spot inside the top 10, finishing the day tied for eighth after carding a 5-over 77. Her eight birdies through 36 holes are tied for the most in the field.
Junior Savannah Barber (+4, T14) climbed 12 spots on the leaderboard after a 3-over 75, securing a place inside the top 15.
Senior Reagan Chaney (+9, T43) and junior MaKayla Tyrrell (+16, T68) rounded out the Oklahoma lineup, sitting tied for 43rd and 68th, respectively, with one round to play.
Competing as an individual, redshirt sophomore Raychel Nelke (+8, T37) surged 34 spots up the leaderboard with a 1-over 73 on Monday.
The Sooners will tee off the final round Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. CT with a shotgun start in Tucson.
