NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field team rank top-10 nationally for the second straight week, per the USTFCCCA's Track & Field Rating Index. The men rank No. 6 and the women come in at No. 10.
The OU men's team is ranked top three in three events and leads the nation in the shot put (19.02m (62'5") average), highlighted by
Ralford Mullings' personal-best 19.92m (65'4.25") toss at the JD Martin Invitational on Friday, the second-best mark recorded in the NCAA so far this season. The men also rank second in the high jump (2.15m (7'0.50")) and third in the long jump (7.59m (24'11")).
The Sooner women are ranked second in the nation in the triple jump (13.23m (43'5")) and third in the shot put (15.69m (51'5.75")) and long jump (6.30m (20'8")).
Pippi Lotta Enok's school record breaking performance in the pentathlon on Friday at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational helped OU in the TFRI, her 4,411 score is third in the NCAA so far this season.
Through three meets, the team has collected 21 marks in the top 16 of the NCAA, 35 top-10 performances in OU history and three school records.
