NORMAN – The No. 18 Oklahoma wrestling team opens the 2025-26 season on Sunday at the Tiger Style Invite in Columbia, Mo. The one-day tournament, hosted by Missouri, begins at 10 a.m. CT and will run throughout the day.
The Sooners, ranked in the top 25 of the National Wrestling Coaches Association preseason poll for the third straight year, earned their highest starting position since 2021. Oklahoma will face a talented field featuring No. 16 Missouri, No. 17 South Dakota State, No. 22 Little Rock and Purdue (RV) in the five-team event.
Six of the 20 Sooners set to compete Sunday enter the 2025-26 campaign in InterMat's individual rankings: No. 23 Beric Jordan (125), No. 23 Alex Braun (141), No. 7 Rafael Hipolito Jr. (157), No. 14 Brian Soldano (184), No. 8 DJ Parker (197) and No. 26 Juan Mora (285).
Sunday marks Oklahoma's first appearance at the Tiger Style Invite, now in its fourth edition and first held in Columbia after the previous three were hosted in Kansas City.
