NORMAN — Oklahoma wrestling has been selected to compete in the 2026 National Duals Invitational, a premier collegiate wrestling event featuring 16 of the nation's top NCAA Division I programs competing for a total purse of more than $1.2 million.

The two-day event, sponsored by Paycom, is scheduled for Dec. 12-13 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The Sooners join Arizona State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Iowa State, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Stanford, Virginia Tech and Wyoming in the 16-team field.

Together, the participating programs represent some of the most storied traditions in collegiate wrestling, combining for 54 NCAA team titles and more than 400 individual national championships.

"Seeing this caliber of programs commit so quickly reinforces what we're building in Tulsa," said tournament director Matt Surber. "The National Duals Invitational is bringing together some of the most historic programs to compete for significant prize money in the exciting duals format. We expect this tournament to continue elevating the sport of college wrestling."

The 2026 prize purse totals more than $1.23 million, representing one of the most significant financial contributions in collegiate wrestling. The top eight teams will earn payouts, with the championship team receiving $250,000. Second- and third-place finishers will each earn $175,000, while fourth and fifth place will receive $100,000 apiece. Sixth- through eighth-place payouts will be $40,000, $25,000 and $20,000, respectively.

All participating teams will receive $20,000 for attending and will also have the opportunity to compete for $50,000 in team takedown bonuses.

The Sooners are set to return three NCAA qualifiers from last season's squad, while impact transfers Isaiah Powe (Chattanooga), Ty Eise (Nebraska) and Jersey Robb (Oklahoma State) join the program for the 2026-27 season.

Tickets for the event will go on sale May 26 at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster and the BOK Center Box Office.
