Last Time Out
Oklahoma followed its season-opening tournament with a pair of road duals last weekend, splitting contests against No. 1 Penn State (Nov. 14) and Bucknell (Nov. 15). The Sooners opened their dual slate Friday in Happy Valley, where a youthful lineup featuring five redshirt freshmen and three athletes debuting at new weight classes fell 45-0 to the top-ranked Nittany Lions. Less than 24 hours later, OU responded with an 18-12 victory at Bucknell to earn its first dual win of the season. The Sooners jumped out to a 9-0 lead behind consecutive decision wins from
Conrad Hendriksen (125) and Minnesota native newcomers
Tyson Charmoli (133) and
Tyler Wells (141). After the Bison surged ahead, OU's upperweights sealed the result as
Brian Soldano (184),
DJ Parker (197) and
Juan Mora (285) delivered three straight victories to secure the program's fifth all-time win over Bucknell.
Series History
In a series that dates back to 1925, Oklahoma is 1-1 all-time against Indiana. Sunday's dual will mark the third meeting between the Sooners and Hoosiers. The last matchup came on Feb. 4, 1989, inside the Lloyd Noble Center, where OU earned a 36-10 victory. Chris Bollin (118), Kyle Rosebure (126), TJ Sewell (134), Joe Leonard (142), Brandon Dennington (158), Baron Blakley (167), Junior Meek (177) and Jim Stafford (190) all recorded wins in the contest. Bollin, Sewell, Joe Reynolds (142) and Blakley went on to earn All-America honors during the 1989 campaign.

Running the GauntletĀ
Oklahoma has positioned itself to face one of the nation's toughest schedules in 2025-26. Beyond its season-opening road contest at No. 1 and four-time defending national champion Penn State, the Sooners have six duals scheduled against teams currently ranked in the NWCA Coaches' Top 25 ā five of which will take place on the road. In total, OU will face two top-five opponents, three in the top 10, five in the top 15 and six in the top 25. The Sooners will also compete at the prestigious Cliff Keen Invitational, widely regarded as the premier regular-season tournament in college wrestling.
