EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oklahoma women's track and field team concluded the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field late Thursday night.
Junior
Olivia Lueking added another First Team All-America honor to her resume after finishing eighth in the women's pole vault. Her 4.30m (14'1.25") clearance notches the sixth All-American accolade of her career.
In her first NCAA Championships appearance, freshman Tuane Silver earned Second Team All-American after posting a 16.77m (20'4.25") mark for 14th.
Junior
Jasmine Akins wrapped up the night for the T&F women with 17th place in the long jump. She garnered an honorable mention award with the 6.20m (20'4.25") mark.
Three Sooners will compete for a national title on Friday.
Angel Richmore begins her quest in the heptathlon, set to begin at 3 p.m. CT with the 100-meter hurdles.
Kyren Washington will compete on the national stage for the first time in his career at 7:30 p.m. CT in the men's high jump. Ranked first in the nation,
BJ Green looks to claim a gold medal in the triple jump at 8:20 p.m. CT.
