FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Oklahoma track and field team concluded their regular season Saturday night at the Arkansas Twilight, held at the John McDonnell Field.
Freshman Dominic Serem ran the third-best 1,500-meter race in Oklahoma outdoor history. Three Sooners collected a meet title and 16 secured new outdoor collegiate bests.
To open the meet,
Kassidy Gallagher took first place in the women's hammer throw, measuring in at 62.37m (204'7").
Kennedy Clarke earned third with a 55.62m (190') mark.
Amiyah Norwood threw a career-high 45.04m (147'9") for second place in the women's javelin.
Erin O'Brien raced to first place in the 3,000-meter run with a 10:17.59 time.
Angel Richmore cleared 1.70m (5'7") for first place in the women's high jump.
In the women's 100-meter dash,
Amanda Obijiaku clocked in at 11.62 (-0.3) for third place and
Kennedy Crutchfield recorded a career-best 12.03 (-1.1).
On the men's side,
Christian Anderson recorded a personal-best time of 11.05 (+0.1) in the 100m.
Bryant Parlin recorded a career-best mark of 17.94m (58'10.25") in the men's shot put for second place.
Five Sooners raced in the women's 400-meter dash where
Jayda Gibson collected a personal-best time of 53.89 for fourth place.
Tyson Ritz cleared 2.05m (6'8.75") for a personal record, second place in the men's high jump and the best finish by a collegian.
In the women's 400-meter hurdles,
Jenna James secured the best finish by a collegian and third place overall, clocking in at 1:01.49.
To close out distance races, Dominic Serem placed sixth in the men's 1,500-meter run. He clocked a collegiate personal-record of 3:41.35 for the third-best finish in Oklahoma outdoor history.
