LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Oklahoma track and field team wrapped up the Rock Chalk Classic Saturday night.
Paige Low broke the discus school record, nine Sooners collected an event title, two landed marks on OU's all-time performance list and eight secured career bests.
Saturday afternoon,
Paige Low tossed a career-best 58.40m (191'7") for the best discus throw in school history and first place in the event. This mark is also 12th in the nation and No. 1 in the Big 12 so far this season.
Two Sooners grabbed back-to-back finishes in the women's hammer throw to open the meet.
Kassidy Gallagher took first with a 66.51m (218'2") toss and
Kennedy Clarke earned second with a 56.50m (185'4") mark.
On the men's side,
Bayley Campbell took fourth place and the best finish by a collegian in the hammer throw, registering 67.69m (222'1").
Ben Ryer grabbed a season-best mark of 62.47m (204'11").
Ally Stephenson secured another title for the Sooners in the women's high jump, clearing 1.65m (5'5").
Jada Williams collected an all-conditions personal record of 5.60m (18'4.25") for third place in the women's long jump.

Nikaoli Williams secured the men's long jump title with a season-best 7.60m (24'11.25") (+3.4).
Anthony Riley earned second with a 7.53m (24'8.50") (+2.3) mark and
Khyland Wallace closed in fourth with an all-conditions PR of 7.26m (23'10.75").
Two Sooners grabbed podium finishes in the men's high jump.
Kyren Washington took first, clearing 2.12m (6'11.50") and
Jack Wahl earned third, registering 2.02m (6'7.50").
In distance, Dominic Serem earned the men's 1,500-meter run title, clocking a collegiate-best of 3:47.50.
Thobias Cheruiyot finished in third, recording a personal-best 3:52.30 and
Fernando Morales followed in fourth, registering 3:54.48.
Jayda Gibson earned third in the women's 400-meter dash with a 54.28 time. On the men's side,
Gage Hensey recorded a career-best 47.89 in the 400m for fifth place.
Paige Low grabbed her second title of the day after throwing a career best in the women's shot put, recording 16.97m (55'8.25"), improving her position at No. 6 in OU history. Tuane Silver followed in second with a personal-best toss of 16.56m (54'4"), securing the No. 9 spot on OU's all-time outdoor list.
In the women's triple jump,
Agur Dwol recorded a regionally-qualifying mark of 12.89m (42'3.50") for second place.
Olivia Lueking earned her fourth meet title this season, clearing 4.40m (14'5.25") in the pole vault.
Freshman
Austin Kiser recorded an all-conditions personal best in the men's 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 13.99 (+4.1) for second place.
Alexis Williams registered 11.54 (+3.3) for second place in the women's 100m.
In the women's 800-meter run,
Kailynn Jackson and
Kel McDavid earned podium finishes. Jackson recorded 2:14.23 for second and McDavid clocked a personal-best 2:14.79 for third.
Jenna James secured third in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a 1:00.28 time.
A trio of Sooners finished second, third and fourth in the women's 200-meter dash.
Alexis Williams took second with a 23.69 (+3.4) time,
Jada Atkinson earned third with a 23.99 (+3.4) time and
Jayda Gibson finished in fourth, recording 24.14 (+3.4).
On the men's side,
Jaylen Barringer registered an all-conditions PR of 21.05 (+4.4) in the 200m for second place and the best finish by a collegian.
To close out running events, Dominic Serem secured his second title of the day with a 14:10.25 time in the men's 5,000m.
Thobias Cheruiyot followed in second place with a 14:26.30 time.
UP NEXT
The Sooners travel to Fayetteville, Ark., on May 4 for the Arkansas Twilight, their last meet of the regular season.
