NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma track and field team resumes their season at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., April 17-20. The meet will take place at the Mt. SAC Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
The relays open with combined events on Wednesday at 11 a.m. PT. Thursday opens with combined events at 11 a.m. PT followed by running events at 6:30 p.m. PT. Friday kicks off with field events at 10 a.m. PT and running events at 11:25 a.m. PT. On Saturday, field events begin at 9 a.m. PT and running events at 1 p.m. PT. Fifty-four Sooners will compete at the meet.
"I am thrilled to be heading west for one of the best meets in the region and the country," stated head coach James Thomas. "Our heptathletes will be starting tomorrow, and we will be competing in a wide range of events and sections over the next four days. This is the best time of the year to test our readiness on the biggest stages."

2024 OU T&F Outdoor Season Highlights
Eleven Sooners are currently ranked in the top 16 in the nation in their respective events.
Freshman
Thobias Cheruiyot broke the 10,000-meter-run school record at the Stanford Invite on March 30 with a 28:35.80 time.
Four-time All-American pole vaulter
Olivia Lueking grabbed the fourth-best mark in the NCAA so far this season at the John Jacobs Invitational with a 4.45m (14'7.25") jump.
BJ Green, 2024 Big 12 indoor triple jump champion and NCAA Indoor First-Team All-American, currently holds the fifth-best distance of 16.21m (53'2.25") in the country, achieved at Texas Relays.
Jasmine Akins earned a personal collegiate-best mark of 6.54m (21'5.5") in the long jump at Texas Relays, the ninth-best leap in the nation.
2023 Big 12 outdoor hammer throw champion
Kassidy Gallagher sits at No. 8 in the nation after tossing to 66.24m (217'4") at the John Jacobs Invitational.
Diego Trevino secured a 19.42m (63'8.75") throw at the Clyde Hart Classic for the No. 11 spot in the NCAA.
Freshman pole vaulter
Hilton Green earned the 10th-best vault in OU outdoor history with a 5.40m (17'8.5") jump at Texas Relays. His mark is also ranked No. 12 in the NCAA so far this season.
School-record holder
Bayley Campbell grabbed a season-best mark of 68.47m (224'7") in the hammer throw at the John Jacobs Invitational, the 16th-best throw in the nation.
