NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma track and field team wrapped up the John Jacobs Invitational Saturday night.
Nine Sooners earned an event title, 24 secured new collegiate personal bests and three landed marks on OU's all-time performance list. A senior recognition ceremony was held Saturday for six track and field and cross country athletes.
"It has been an amazing two days of track and field in Norman. I am incredibly pleased with our athletes, their families, alumni, spectators, staff and outstanding officials," stated head coach James Thomas. "Organizing a home meet is a huge responsibility, and it becomes even more challenging when coupled with a great high school meet."
The Sooners opened Friday morning with combined events.
Ally Stephenson grabbed four personal bests in the event, starting with a 14.06 time in the women's 100-meter hurdles. She secured a 1.69m (5'6.50") mark in the high jump, a 9.84m (32'3.50") throw in the shot put, and a quick 25.44 time in the 200m.
Danny Doheny grabbed a collegiate best in the men's javelin, recording 62.99m (206'8") mark, improving his position at No. 9 on OU's all-time outdoor list.
In the women's long jump,
Jada Williams earned a collegiate best with a 6.75m (18'10.50") leap.
Olivia Lueking grabbed the Sooners' first title of the day in the women's pole vault. Her season-best jump of 4.45m (14'7.25") is the third best in the nation.
The women's 800-meter run opened track events Friday night.
Gabi Barrera earned first with a personal record, clocking in at 2:11.59.
Kailynn Jackson grabbed another podium finish in second with a 2:12.77 time.
Paige Low earned second place and the best finish by a collegian in the women's shot put with a 16.59m (54'5.25") mark. Tuane Silver earned third with a career-best 16.10m (52'10") throw.
Diego Trevino collected another meet title in the men's shot put, recording 19.23m (62'2.25").
Tucker Smith tossed a career-best 18.95m (62'2.25") that improved his position at No. 6 on OU's all-time outdoor list.
In the 5,000-meter run,
Colin Caso grabbed the men's best finish, clocking a personal-best 14:26.71 time. On the women's side,
Erin O'Brien recorded a season-best 17:54.27 time for sixth.
The throws squad earned another meet title in the women's hammer throw with
Kassidy Gallagher's 66.24m (217'4") mark.
Kennedy Clarke grabbed fourth with a career-best 59.85m (196'4") mark, the tenth-best throw in OU outdoor history.
The last title of the day went to
Bayley Campbell in the men's hammer throw. He tossed to a season-best 68.47m (224'7") measure.
A series of 4x100-meter relay titles opened day two for the Sooners. Women's squad of

Jenna James clocked in at 45.67. Men's team of
Zarik Brown,
Richard Johnson,
Jaylen Barringer and Nikaoli Willaims recorded 40.47.
The Sooners honored six seniors Saturday evening,

Erin Weigel.
"The highlights of the weekend were not just about the performances and victories," added Coach Thomas. "My greatest joy was seeing our graduating seniors and managers honored in the best way possible. I want to thank everyone who enjoyed the wonderful weather and the fantastic atmosphere."
Senior
Fernando Morales celebrated his day with second place in the men's 1500-meter run with a 3:58.43 time.
Paige Low threw for 55.99m (183'8") in the women's discus for second place.
A pair of freshman earned new collegiate personal bests in the men's 110-meter hurdles.
Austin Kiser recorded 14.13 for second place and
Cameron Jackson registered 14.46.
Jayda Gibson grabbed the Sooners' best finish in the women's 400m, clocking in at 54.47.
Alyia Green collected a collegiate-best time of 54.77 for fourth.
Seniors
Richard Johnson and
Zarik Brown topped their senior day off with first and second place finishes in the men's 400m.
Richard Johnson registered 46.23 and
Zarik Brown recorded 46.42.
In the men's pole vault,
Colton Rhodes jumped for 5.25m (17'2.75") for second place.
Kyren Washington collected the Sooners best finish in the men's high jump with a outdoor collegiate-best 2.13m (6'11.75") mark.
Floyd Whitaker took second place in the men's triple jump with a 15.13m (49'7.25") leap.
Five Sooners raced in the women's 100-meter dash, where
Alexis Williams took the Sooners' best finish in second with a career-best 11.60 (+1.1) time.
Jenna James raced to second in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a 1:00.52 time.
Alexis Williams grabbed second place and the best finish by a collegian in the women's 200-meter dash with a 23.70 (+1.2) time.
Jada Atkinson followed in fourth with a 24.17 (+1.2) time.
The Sooners concluded Saturday night with 4x400-meter relays.
