PHOENIX – In its final regular season event, No. 14 Oklahoma men's golf finished 11th at The Thunderbird on Saturday.

The Sooners (11, E) were led by Drew Goodman, who finished 11th as an unattached individual. Ben Lorenz earned a top-20 finish as OU's top finisher in the lineup.

Fourth-ranked Arizona State won the event, played at its home course, by 28 shots, finishing at 38-under par. Preston Summerhays (ASU) took home medalist honors, firing a 201 (-12) to win the event.

Oklahoma signed for a 54-hole score of 852 (E) on the week to notch an even-par-or-better finish at every stroke play event this season and at 18 of its last 19 tournaments dating back to the opening of the 2022-23 season.

Goodman (T11, -4) fired a 65 (-6) in the final round on Saturday to jump up the leaderboard after carding 71-73 on Friday at the par-71 Papago Golf Club. Unattached from the OU lineup, Goodman posted seven birdies with just one bogey to finish at 4-under for the week on Saturday.

Lorenz (T19, -2) used rounds of 72-67-72 to grab a top-20 finish, his team-high sixth of the year and second consecutive. The All-American's second-round 67 (-4) highlighted his week as the Peoria, Ariz., product wraps the regular season with nine rounds in the 60s.

Jase Summy finished in 34th at 1-over par for the week but posted a 1-under 70 in the final round. Freshman Ryder Cowan and Stephen Campbell Jr. shared 52nd at 3-over par. Jake Holbrook (+6) wrapped up the OU contingent in a tie for 70th.

The Sooners will return to Norman and regroup before heading to the Big 12 Championships at Whispering Pines GC in Trinity, Texas, from April 22-24. Oklahoma has won back-to-back Big 12 titles and three since 2018. The championship is Oklahoma's last as a Big 12 member.
