NORMAN – Four current and one former University of Oklahoma softball team players have been named to USA Softball Women's National Team rosters ahead of the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women's World Cup and Japan All-Star Series, announced by the organization Friday.

Kinzie Hansen and
Kelly Maxwell will represent the United States at the Japan All-Star Series on July 4-8 while
Tiare Jennings will appear in the WBSC Women's World Cup in Castions de Strada, Italy, July 15-21.
Oklahoma leads all NCAA programs with four representatives on the Japan All-Star Series roster while Jennings is one of just two active student-athletes on the WBSC World Cup roster. Athletes were chosen by the Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) based on previous and ongoing evaluations at the collegiate levels as well as USA Softball National Team events, trials and camps.
Jennings is set to make her World Cup debut this summer, last appearing with USA Softball at the 2022 Japan All-Star Series. A three-time NFCA First Team All-American and two-time unanimous selection, Jennings is OU's career leader in doubles (60) while ranking second in RBIs (294) and extra-base hits (149) and third in hits (288), batting average (.425) and home runs (88).
Alo batted .417 at the 2023 World Cup Stage Event with USA Softball and enjoyed a dominant four-homer, 11-RBI effort while hitting .591 at the 2022 Canada Cup. The 2022 Honda Sport Award Winner for Softball and two-time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year closed her legendary career at Oklahoma in 2022 as the NCAA all-time leader in home runs (122), slugging percentage (.987) and total bases (761). She holds OU's career records for batting average (.445), on-base percentage (.557), slugging, hits (343), runs (281), home runs, RBIs (323), total bases and extra-base hits (126).
Coleman will make her first USA Softball appearance with the Women's Elite Team at the Japan All-Star Series this summer. She batted .522 with six RBIs at the 2019 WBSC U-19 Women's World Cup, leading the U.S. to Gold. The three-time NFCA First Team All-American has started all 224 games since joining Oklahoma in 2021, batting .430 with 260 runs scored, 44 home runs, 175 RBIs and 53 stolen bases. Coleman ranks second in OU program history with a .430 batting average and a .557 on-base percentage while landing third in runs scored (260).
Hansen earned Gold at the 2022 World Games and is slated for her third-straight appearance at the Japan All-Star Series. A two-time NFCA All-American, the backstop earned the 2023 Johnny Bench Award for the nation's top catcher. She has appeared in 217 games across five seasons at OU, batting .389 with 56 home runs and 198 RBIs.
Maxwell logged 7.0 innings of one-run ball with 14 strikeouts at the 2023 World Cup Stage Event and returns to the Japan All-Star Series for the second time in her career. The two-time NFCA All-American was named Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Year in 2022 and joined OU this season as a graduate transfer. She has won 70 games at the collegiate level, logging a 1.59 ERA across 573.0 innings with 836 strikeouts, 25 shutouts and 13 saves.
