NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season, including the conference slate for the first year in the Southeastern Conference.
The slate includes 15 total home matches, seven of which will be against SEC opponents. The Sooners will face 16 teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament.
"We are very excited to release the 2025 schedule," said head coach Nick Crowell. "Joining the SEC this year is very exciting for our program as we'll be playing a new and challenging schedule. This also coincides with the opening of our new facility renovations with enhanced outdoor seating and team spaces which is very exciting for everyone."
Oklahoma opens the season at home with a trio of matches. The 2025 season kicks off against Omaha on Jan. 16, followed by a doubleheader on Jan. 19 against Cornell and UT Arlington. In last season's match against Cornell, the Sooners came away with a 4-3 win to kick off an 11-match win streak. OU faced UTA twice last season, sweeping the Mavericks early in the season and in the first round of the NCAA Championship.
The Sooners continue their streak of home matches as they host the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The first-round match against Tulsa is on Jan. 25 followed by the second-round match against either Stanford or Oregon on Jan. 26.
Three more home matches follow, with a doubleheader against Air Force and Oral Roberts on Feb. 1. OU will see Tulsa once again as the Golden Hurricane travel back to Norman on Feb. 5.
OU's first road match takes them to the West Coast to face San Diego on Feb. 8.
Should they qualify from the ITA Kickoff Weekend, the Sooners will head to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, Feb. 14-17.
The first year in the SEC gets underway as the Sooners host Arkansas on Feb. 24. The Sooners last faced the Razorbacks in 2022 and are 8-4 all-time against the Razorbacks.
Tennessee will make just its second trek to Norman in program history as the two teams meet on Feb. 28.
A match on March 2 against Texas A&M renews the rivalry between the Sooners and the Aggies, as the teams are reunited for the first time since A&M's departure from the Big 12 in 2012.
The last of a four-match home stretch is a March 6 meeting with Florida. This is the first meeting between the two teams since a 4-2 Sooner victory in Gainesville in 2017.
Three conference road matches are next on the slate as the Sooners travel to Mississippi State (March 8), Auburn (March 13) and South Carolina (March 15).
Oklahoma hosts Georgia on March 21 before heading back on the road to face Ole Miss on March 27 and Alabama on March 29.
The final home matches of the season include Texas on April 3 and LSU on April 5. This season's Red River Rivalry will be the 32nd meeting between the two programs.
The regular season closes out with a two-match road swing at Kentucky (April 10) and Vanderbilt (April 12).
The SEC Championships will be held in Columbia, South Carolina from April 16-20.
The Sooners' home competitions will be open to the public for free admission.
