NORMAN — The Oklahoma wrestling team is set to hold its annual Crimson & Cream Dual at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 inside McCasland Field House.
Admission to the event is free. The scrimmage will feature 11 bouts, and the Sooners will be split into two teams.
The Sooners, ranked No. 19 in the Intermat Preseason Dual Meet Poll, return one NCAA qualifier from last season in junior Willie McDougald.
In the offseason, head coach Roger Kish added 17 newcomers to the roster, including three former NCAA qualifiers in seniors Gaven Sax (North Dakota State) and Cleveland Belton (Oregon State), as well as sophomore Bradley Hill (Iowa). Redshirt freshman Carter Schubert (Cal Baptist) rounds out the Sooners' incoming transfer additions. The group of transfers will join 13 freshmen that make up Kish's first full recruiting class since being hired as Oklahoma's head coach. The 2024 class was rated No. 3 overall in the country, according to Intermat's final rankings big board.
Following Friday's intrasquad dual, Oklahoma will head to Colorado Springs to begin its season on Friday, Nov. 8 at Air Force. The Sooners will return to Norman to face Wyoming in their home-opener at McCasland Field House on Saturday, Nov. 23.
