NORMAN – The reigning four-time national champion Oklahoma softball team announced its eight-game 2024 fall schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The slate features five competitions against outside opponents and the continuation of the program's popular Oklahoma Battle Series, with three intrasquad scrimmages featuring an exciting format.

Seven of the eight exhibitions will be played at Love's Field in Norman and open to the public. Each mid-week contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. CT with a Saturday, Oct. 26 doubleheader scheduled for a noon start.

Head coach Patty Gasso's Sooners start the Oklahoma Battle Series on Wednesday, Oct. 2, with other Battle Series dates scheduled for Oct. 9 and Nov. 6.

The Sooners will hit the road to visit Texas A&M Commerce on Wednesday, Oct. 16 for a 6 p.m. start. Wednesday, Oct. 23 features a home exhibition vs. Seminole State College, then OU is scheduled to host ULM in Norman Saturday, Oct. 26 for a doubleheader starting at noon and 2:30 p.m. Oklahoma's exhibitions against outside competition concludes when it hosts MACU on Friday, Nov. 1, marking the first-ever game played between Coach Gasso and her husband, MACU head coach Jim Gasso.

Each Battle Series contest will be streamed live on SEC Network+. The road contest at Texas A&M Commerce will be streamed via ESPN+.

Tickets will be general admission and are available for purchase online beginning Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. CT and at the gate on game days. Current season ticket holders that have renewed for the 2025 season in a premium seating area including four-top seating arrangements or loge boxes will be contacted via email to secure their box or table for all fall games. Additional opportunities to purchase premium area tickets may be made available prior to the first battle series game.

The 2024 fall season includes an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets for Oklahoma Softball games and contribute $5 to support OU Softball student-athletes via 1Oklahoma, our official NIL partner. Tickets are available at a cost of $15, or $20 for the Sept. 26 double-header vs. ULM, through this link. If fans do not wish to contribute to 1Oklahoma, tickets may be purchased at face value by contacting the Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office at 405-325-2424 or at the Love's Field box office on the day of each game. The box office will open 90 minutes prior to the start of each fall contest.

Groups may purchase tickets at a cost of $10 per person and may contact the Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office for more information.

OU Athletics' clear-bag policy will be in effect and walk-through metal detectors will be utilized.

The Sooners return eight players for the 2025 season, including 2024 All-American Ella Parker and 2024 Freshman All-American Kasidi Pickering.

Oklahoma earned its NCAA-record fourth-straight national championship last season while going 59-7 (.894) with a 22-5 record in Big 12 play. OU opened Love's Field to a record season attendance of 108,156 (4,326 average) and enjoyed a perfect 5-0 postseason at its new home.

The Sooners led the nation in wins and on-base percentage while ranking top-five nationally in multiple statistical categories including home runs, batting average, shutouts, slugging percentage, doubles, fielding percentage and OPS. OU recorded 27 run-rule wins and 23 shutouts while going 38-6 against power five opponents.

Battle Series Game One Recap | Team Boomer 4, Team Sooner 4

Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, Lead

Senior Cydney Sanders provided the magic as Team Boomer and Team Sooner played to a thrilling 4-4 tie in Game One of the Oklahoma Battle Series on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Trailing 4-2 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Team Sooner's Abigale Dayton legged out a bunt single to bring Sanders to the plate. The veteran first baseman promptly smashed a game-tying two-run blast over the center field wall, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Sanders went 2-for-5 with her two-run shot while Dayton provided a 4-for-5 performance in her OU fall debut. Team Sooner shortstop Ailana Agbayani tripled and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base.

Ella Parker (3-for-5, R) and Gabbie Garcia (3-for-4, BB, 2B, RBI) each delivered three-hit nights for Team Boomer while Nelly McEnroe-Marinas added a monster solo home run.

Sam Landry and Audrey Lowry each threw for Team Boomer while Kierston Deal and Paytn Monticelli shared duties in the circle for Team Sooner.
 


Battle Series Game Two Recap | Team Sooner 13, Team Boomer 5

Celebration, Lead

Oklahoma's lineup provided plenty of action in Game Two of the Oklahoma Battle Series on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Team Sooner produced 17 hits in a 13-5 slugfest win over Team Boomer, enjoying five multi-hit efforts with each of its seven players recording at least one base knock.

Ailana Agbayani went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, a double and one RBI while Tia Milloy added a 4-for-6 evening. Ella Parker drove in four, homered and scored three runs of her own. Nelly McEnroe-Marinas doubled twice and drove in three. Fellow middle-of-the-order bat Isabela Emerling plated two and went 3-for-4 with a home run.

Kasidi Pickering (2-for-4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI) and Cydney Sanders each belted two-run home runs for Team Boomer.

Sam Landry earned the win for Team Sooner, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings. The right-hander fanned three and allowed just three baserunners on three singles.


Oct. 16 Recap | Oklahoma 19, Texas A&M-Commerce 0

Ella Parker, Lead

Oklahoma's lineup backed a terrific effort from the pitching staff as the Sooners thumped Texas A&M-Commerce 19-0 on the road Wednesday, Oct. 16. The Sooners blasted seven home runs, recorded 16 hits and drew 12 walks as both Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering belted two homers each. OU's staff combined for 10.0 scoreless innings of four-hit ball, walking none and striking out six.

Sam Landry, Ella Parker, Audrey Lowry, Ailana Agbayani and Kierston Deal each saw action in the circle as part of an efficient day for the staff. The OU hurlers threw 77 of their 100 pitches for strikes and induced 11 swinging strikes.

Parker went 3-for-3 and drove in four while Pickering added a 2-for-4 effort with four RBIs of her own. Abigale Dayton reached in three of her four trips, going 2-for-2 with a walk and a sacrifice fly. Sophomore Maya Bland scored a game-high four runs and was 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs driven in. Hannah Coor (1-for-3, BB, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI) and Nelly McEnroe-Marinas (1-for-4, R, HR, RBI) both homered in the contest.
 


Oct. 23 Recap | Oklahoma 16, Seminole State 0

Isabela Emerling, Lead

The Sooner lineup produced 25 hits, 10 for extra bases, in a 16-0 Wednesday evening win over Seminole State on Oct. 23 at Love's Field. Seven OU hitters recorded multi-hit performances in the 10-inning contest while four pitchers combined for a four-hit shutout. Oklahoma drew a fall program record 1,508 fans Wednesday.

Kasidi Pickering (4-for-6, 5 R, 2 HR, 6 RBI) homered twice and was joined by Ella Parker (4-for-6, 3 R, 2 2B) in the four-hit department. Isabela Emerling (3-for-4, BB, 2 R, 2B, HR, 5 RBI), Ailana Agbayani (3-for-6, BB, 2B, RBI) and Kadey Lee McKay (3-for-4, R, 2 2B, RBI) each provided three hits.

Audrey Lowry, Paytn Monticelli, Kierston Deal and Sam Landry combined to strike out 13 and walk just one across 10.0 innings of work. Deal threw 27 of her 33 pitches for strikes, inducing 11 swinging strikes, and Landry fanned a game-high five batters.
 


Oct. 26 Recap | Oklahoma 8, ULM 0 | Oklahoma 12, ULM 0

Sam Landry, Lead

Oklahoma's pitching staff shined in a doubleheader sweep of ULM on Saturday, Oct. 26, combining for a no-hitter in an 8-0 game one win before blanking the Warhawks again 12-0 in game two. Love's Field welcomed a new fall program record 1,752 fans, breaking the mark set just three days earlier.

Sam Landry and Audrey Lowry combined to no-hit ULM in game one, striking out a combined seven while retiring 21 of 22 faced. Landry struck out six and issued a lone walk across 4.2 innings of work. The Sooner lineup pounced early, plating six runs in the second while adding one in the third and fifth. Ella Parker went 3-for-4 in game one with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs while Cydney Sanders added a prodigious three-run homer into the upper deck in left field.

Kierston Deal set the tone in the circle to earn the win in game two, striking out nine over 4.0 innings of four-hit softball. Paytn Monticelli struck out three over the next three frames to earn her first save of the fall. OU posted four runs in the first and fourth, one in the fifth and three in the sixth as part of a 10-hit effort. Parker (1-for-2, BB, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI), Kasidi Pickering (1-for-3, R, HR, 3 RBI), Isabela Emerling (1-for-4, R, HR, RBI) and Corri Hicks each homered in game two. Hicks enjoyed a 2-for-2 finale, scoring twice and collecting a double to go with her three-run home run. Abigale Dayton went 2-for-3 to give OU a second multi-hit effort.
 


Nov. 1 Recap | Oklahoma 17, MACU 0

The Gassos

A 10-run fifth inning was more than enough as Oklahoma shut out MACU 17-0 on Friday, Nov. 1 in the first-ever head-to-head coaching matchup between OU head coach Patty Gasso and MACU head coach Jim Gasso. The Sooners scored their 17 runs on 13 hits and seven walks, receiving multi-hit performances from Ailana Agbayani (3-for-5, 3 R, RBI), Isabela Emerling (2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI), Cydney Sanders (2-for-2, 2 BB, R, 2B, RBI) and Maya Bland (2-for-3, BB, 3 R, HR, 3 RBI). Oklahoma again broke its all-time fall attendance record, drawing 2,763 fans.

OU's pitching staff impressed, tossing a combined three-hit shutout while striking out 17. Audrey Lowry struck out four across three perfect innings to earn the win as the starter, then Paytn Monticelli struck out the side in the fourth to take a perfect game into the fifth. Kierston Deal and Sam Landry closed things out with 5.0 scoreless frames with the latter fanning a game-high seven.

Nelly McEnroe-Marinas (1-for-2, BB, R, HR, 3 RBI) and Sydney Barker (1-for-3, BB, 3 R, HR, RBI) also homered in the win.
 


Nov. 6 Recap | Team Sooner 5, Team Boomer 4

Bela Emerling, Lead

Oklahoma's fall season ended with a thrilling third edition of the Oklahoma Battle Series as Team Sooner walked off Team Boomer 5-4 on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Kasidi Pickering (1-for-3, BB, R, HR, 3 RBI), Isabela Emerling (1-for-3, BB, R, HR, 2 RBI) and Abigale Dayton (2-for-4, R, HR, RBI) each homered in the game while Nelly McEnroe-Marinas went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Ailana Agbayani added a three-hit game, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs driven in.

Sam Landry and Paytn Monticelli squared off in a pitchers duel that saw Team Sooner hold a 1-0 lead through five. The duo combined for eight strikeouts with Landry tossing a game-high 4.0 innings of shutout ball. Team Boomer tied things up with a McEnroe-Marinas RBI single in the sixth, then Pickering launched a go-ahead three-run homer in the home half to make it 4-1 in favor of Team Sooner. Dayton lifted an opposite-field solo shot and Emerling followed with a monster two-run blast two batters later in the top of the seventh, evening the score at 4-4, then Agbayani played hero with a walk-off fielder's choice after the stretch.

Oklahoma set a new program record for fall attendance during the 2024 fall season, drawing 6,463 over its six home dates.
