NORMAN – University of Oklahoma women's golf will open the 2023-24 season at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, Calif, at Pebble Beach Golf Links on Sept. 1-3.
The Sooners will make their second appearance in the Carmel Cup, playing in the inaugural event to open their 2022-23 schedule. Senior
Nina Lang and sophomore
Savannah Barber will play in the tournament for the second time and Lang led OU in last season's event, tying for 24th. Sophomore
Isabelle Schlick will make her Crimson and Cream debut.
THE FIELD
Arkansas, Mississippi State (tournament host), Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
THE COURSE
All three rounds will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72, 6,156 yards).
FORMAT
The three-day tournament will feature 18 holes each day beginning on Friday, Sept. 1 The Sooners will tee off at 8:40 a.m. CT on Friday and will have six golfers in the field, counting the top five scores each round.
