Lang, Nelke Named WGCA All-American Scholars

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma women's golfers Nina Lang and Raychel Nelke were named 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
Lang has received the honor in consecutive seasons and Nelke earned the accolade for the first time. Oklahoma has had a Sooner recognized as an All-American scholar seven-straight seasons.
Lang competed in six events last season and tallied two top-20 finishes. Nelke tallied a season-best 15th-place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic and appeared in the OU lineup on eight occasions.
To be named a WGCA All-American Scholar, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 GPA. A total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers from all divisions earned the prestigious honor.
