Sooners Send Three More To Austin

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Oklahoma women's track and field team concluded day two of the NCAA West Regional with three national qualifiers, multiple advancements and a broken school record.

Sophomore Kassidy Gallagher was the first to punch her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the women after marking 206-4 (62.89m) in the hammer throw.

Symone Washington, a senior, leaped 20-3 (6.17m) (2.8w) in long jump to claim her spot in Austin.

Olivia Lueking closed out the day by clearing 13-10 (4.22m) in pole vault to secure a spot at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Multiple athletes advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals. First up, Yazmine Wright secured a PR of 4:11.47 to break her own school record in the 1500-meter run. Kennedy Blackmon then earned a lane in the 100-meter dash (11.21) and 200-meter dash (22.73). Mikayla Hayes also took a spot in the 100-meter dash, clocking an 11.45.

Wrapping up advancements, Ashonti Warner (58.04) and Daneesha Davidson (58.44) claimed the top-two spots in the 400-meter hurdles to advance to the quarterfinals.

Representing OU, Eva Kubickova ran for a PR at 11.79 in the 100-meter dash and Jenna James clocked 59.57 in the 400-meter hurdles.

In long jump, Jasmine Akins marked a 19-10.75 (6.06m) and Nebtom N'Da leaped 18-5.25 (5.62m). Also in the hammer throw, Geraldine Udo marked 183-4 (55.89m). In shot put, Payden Montana threw 55-8.25 (16.97m), Abby Moore marked 51-10 (15.80m) and Paige Low finished with a throw at 50-10.25 (15.50m).

Cassidy Bradshaw cleared 13-6.25 (4.12m) in pole vault, barely missing the cut at NCAA's.
