NORMAN, Okla. - Nine athletes will represent the University of Oklahoma track and field team at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., on March 10-11.Ā
"I'm optimistic about our participation at the indoor national championships," said head coach Tim Langford. "We've more than doubled our participants from last year. I expect this to be an electric environment and look forward to seeing how our program responds."Ā

Representing the Crimson and CreamĀ will be sophomores Olivia Lueking and Pippi Lotta Enok on the women's side. Seniors Kristo Simulask and Vernon Turner, and junior Nikaoli Williams qualified on the men's side. The men's 4x400 relay team consisting of Zarik Brown, Salim Epps, Josh Bour, and Muzuri Mattar will also represent OU at nationals.Ā
Lueking is returning to indoor nationals after her freshman debut last year where she took fourth place in pole vault. Lueking finished third at the 2023 Big 12 Indoor Championships after clearing 4.09m. Lueking currently holds the school record in pole vault at 14-7.5 (4.46m). This season she has finished in first place twice and she currently sits 13th in the NCAA.Ā Ā
Lotta Enok will make her NCAA debut in the women's pentathlon. The Estonian native took home the women's pentathlon title at the 2023 Big 12 Indoor Championships after collecting 4,207 points. She collected six personal bests and set a new program record. She currently ranks eighth in the NCAA.Ā Ā
Williams has had a stellar indoor season with the Sooners. The Northwestern State transfer won the Big 12 title in the men's long jump after clearing 25-4.5 (7.73m). At the Windy City Invitational, Williams shattered a 33-year-old school record in long jump with a clearance of 26-5.5 (8.06m). He currently is ranked fifth in the NCAA.Ā Ā
Turner is the reigning NCAA indoor high jump champion and is looking to go back-to-back at this year's national championship. At the 2023 Big 12 Indoor Championship, Turner cleared 7-5.75 (2.28m) to claim his second indoor Big 12 title in a row. The redshirt senior is the current program record holder, the NCAA collegiate leader, and No. 4 in the world in high jump.Ā Ā
Simulask will return to the NCAA Indoor National Championship in the men's heptathlon. The Estonian native won the 2023 Big 12 Title in the men's heptathlon after scoring a career-best 5,939 points, setting a new school and meet record. Simulask is currently ninth in the NCAA.Ā Ā
The men's 4x400 relay squad (Zarik Brown, Salim Epps, Josh Bour and Muzuri Mattar) will represent the Sooners at indoor nationals. At Big 12s, they clocked a 3:02.77, the sixth fastest time in the NCAA this season. Their performance set a new school, facility, and meet record. The 4x400 alternates include Gage Hensey, Richard Kuykendoll and Jaylen Barringer.Ā
A top-eight finish in the championships will earn the athletes first-team All-America honors, while ninth through 16thĀ place will collect them second-team All-America accolades.Ā
