NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma track and field team concluded day two of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas this evening.
The day started with the women's heptathlon where Ariel Pedigo collected 5,204 points for 13th place.
Newcomer Kassidy Gallagher threw for 200-5 (61.10m) in the women's hammer throw competition, which claims the fifth best performance in Oklahoma history.
On the track, Daneesha Davidson (57.97) and Ashonti Warner (58.01) finished in the top-8 of the women's 400-meter hurdles to qualify for Friday's final.
Next, Anass Mghari clocked a 1:52.16 in the men's 800-meter run for 16th place.
Fernando Morales collected a massive personal-best in the men's 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:52.76, shaving over 16 seconds off his previous best time of 4:09.65.
The women's 1,500-meter run saw Yazmine Wright finish in fourth place with a time of 4:19.79. In addition, she collected a new personal best and the fourth fastest time in OU history.
To close out the day, Colin Caso claimed first place in the men's 10k with a time of 30:56.41, while Thomas Knepshield finished 13th at 32:34.18.
Tomorrow's competition will begin with running events at 9:35 a.m. CT, while field events will start at 12:30 p.m. CT.
