FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Oklahoma track and field team competed at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark. on Friday..
The Sooners sent a limited squad to the meet and returned with a victory in the women's long jump and number of additions to the OU record books.
The day started off with a victory for Jasmine Akins in the women's long jump at 20-6.5 (6.26m).
Next, freshman David Warmington matched his personal best in the men's 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.03.
Anass Mghari competed in the men's 800-meter race and finished in second place with a personal-best time of 1:48.45. His performance gives him the second-fastest time in OU history.
The men's 200-meter race saw Josh Bour claim fifth place after running a speedy time of 21.22.
To conclude the meet for the Sooners, Yazmine Wright collected a massive personal-best in the women's mile run with a time of 4:39.45, the second fastest time in school history.
