OU Set for 12th Straight NCAA Appearance

NORMAN – The Oklahoma men's tennis team is set for its 12th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance as the Sooners earned their 2022 bid on Monday.

The Sooners (14-10) will head to the Ann Arbor regional hosted by Michigan.

"We are very excited to compete again in this years NCAA tournament," head coach Nick Crowell said. "Our guys are ready to hit the road and battle Louisville.

OU will open the tournament against Louisville while host Michigan and Western Michigan will face off on the other side of the bracket. The first and second rounds will take place May 6-7 and feature four teams playing in a single-elimination format. The winner of each site will advance to the super-regional competition May 13 or 14. 

2022 marks OU's fifth NCAA appearance under Crowell. The Sooners have advanced to the NCAA second round or further in each of the last eight seasons.

Singles and doubles selections and brackets will be revealed Tuesday, May 3.

The 2022 championship will take place in Champaign, Illinois, May 19-22.
