Men's Tennis Adds Luka Talan Lopatic for Spring 2026 Season

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head men's tennis coach Nick Crowell announced the signing of Luka Talan Lopatic for the spring 2026 season.

"We are excited to have Luka join the family and program at Oklahoma," Crowell said. "Luka has a very experienced game, is a hard worker and has pro ambitions."

The 17-year-old from Ljubljana, Slovenia has a career-high ITF junior world ranking of No. 56 and a career-high ATP ranking of 1585.

Lopatic has won two ITF titles in his professional career and competed for Slovenia in the 2025 Davis Cup. The incoming freshman holds a 13.12 UTR.

Lopatic currently resides in Alicante, Spain and will compete for the Sooners in the upcoming spring 2026 season.

"Luka exemplifies the fight and determination we are looking for at Oklahoma," Crowell said.
