Recapping the Last Week
ā¢Ā Oklahoma defeated Wichita State 9-5 on Tuesday and swept its three-game Big 12 series at Kansas by scores of 15-2, 7-6 (14 innings) and 24-4 (seven innings).Ā
ā¢Ā The Sooners compiled 46 runs, 46 hits and 26 walks while outscoring the Jayhawks 46-12 in the series. The 24-4 victory on Sunday was OU's highest offensive output since 2011 (27-7 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff), its most runs against a conference opponent since 2009 (29-4 win at Kansas State) and most runs scored against Kansas since 1974 (25-1 win in Norman).
ā¢Ā Oklahoma registered its first conference series sweep since 2019 (vs. Kansas in Norman), its first road series sweep since 2017 (at Kennesaw State) and its first road conference sweep since 2010 (at Kansas).

Blake Robertson notched five hits in the opener on Friday. It was his second five-hit contest in a six-game span (also April 12 vs. Texas Tech) and tied for the most hits in a single game by a Big 12 player this season. Trevin Michael finished the game by pitching 6.0 shutout innings with eight strikeouts. Crooks threw out three runners stealing in the game, including one to end the ninth and another as part of a strike-out throw-out double play in the 10th inning. ā¢Ā The Sooners have registered 93 stolen bases in 119 attempts through 38 games this season. OU surpassed its total from all of last year (46 steals) in the 18th game of this season. The last time Oklahoma completed a season with at least 90 steals was in 2010 (98).
ā¢Ā Oklahoma ranks fifth nationally in stolen bases (93) and sixth in steals per game (2.5). Both figures rank second in the Big 12, only to West Virginia's 130 steals and average of 3.4 steals per game.

ā¢Ā Oklahoma has registered at least 10 steals in a game twice this season. OU went off for 11 steals against Wichita State on Feb. 22 and stole 10 bases on April 16 vs. Pacific.
ā¢Ā Three players ā Graham, Pettis and Tredaway ā each had three stolen bases in the Feb. 22 game vs. Wichita State. Graham notched three steals again vs. Texas on April 2. It was the fourth time a single player has registered three steals in a single game this season.
ā¢Ā Prior to Feb. 22, no single Sooner had stolen three bases in a game since Erik Ross against Hartford in 2012. Oklahoma (3-1) finished the Wichita State game one steal shy of the school record of 12, set in 1937 against East Central (Okla.) University.
