Oklahoma Baseball continues its pipeline to the prosĀ as several Sooners look to hear their name called in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft beginning Saturday, July 11Ā at noon CT. Rounds 1-4 can be seen Saturday on NBC/Peacock (Picks 1-10)Ā and MLB Network/MLB.com/MLB.TV (Picks 11-135)Ā with Rounds 5-20 continuing Sunday at 10:30 a.m. CT on MLB.com and MLB.TV.

The Sooners' 2026 draft class is highlighted by six top-250 prospects according to MLB Pipeline:Ā junior C Deiten Lachance (No.Ā 103), junior C/OF Brendan BrockĀ (No. 112), junior 3BĀ Camden Johnson (No. 116) junior SS Jaxon Willits (No. 117), junior RHP LJ Mercurius (No. 186) and junior LHP Cameron JohnsonĀ (No. 250).

Entering the 2026 Draft, a total of 315 Sooners have been selected in the MLB Draft, a number that ranks top 10 among all colleges. OU has had at least one player drafted every year since 1970, and at least one player selected in the top 10 rounds every year since 2011. All-time, Oklahoma has produced 22 first-round picks.

OU has produced 48 draft picks under head coach Skip Johnson, including 34 pitchers and four first-round picks.Ā With Kyson Witherspoon's selection at No. 15 overall in the 2025 draft, Oklahoma has produced four first rounders in the last eight drafts (also Cade Horton by the Chicago CubsĀ at No. 7 overall in 2022, Cade CavalliĀ by the Washington Nationals at No. 22 in 2020 and Kyler Murray by the Oakland Athletics at No. 9 in 2018).

Draft Day:Ā Brock showcased his versatility throughout OU's national title run, starting 65 of OU's 66 games behind the plate, in the outfield or at designated hitter. The Mascoutah, Ill., native hit .302 with 74 hits, 11 doubles, two triples and 60 runs scored. His 13 home runs, 55 RBI and 28 stolen bases all ranked second on the team. His 28 stolen bags ranked tied for 15th for a single season in program history. In the College World Series, Brock hit .400 with eight hits, a home run, double and three RBIs. Draft Day: A three-year starter at shortstop for the Sooners, Willits left his mark in the Crimson and Cream, capping his time in Norman with a national title and College World Series Most Outstanding Player honors. The Fort Cobb, Okla., product set an OU CWS record with 13 hits in Omaha, hitting a team-high .500 with one home run and five doubles to go with seven runs batted in. Draft Day:Ā A dynamic right-handed pitcher that started the season as a starter for the Sooners before becoming an integral bullpen piece in the postseason, helping OU to the title. Mercurius appeared in 22 games on the mound and made 12 starts, one of just three Sooners to make at least 12 starts. He compiled a 7-7 record with a 4.43 ERA over a team-high 83.1 innings pitched to go with a team-high 103 strikeouts. All four of his saves, good for the second-highest mark on the roster, came in the NCAA tournament. The Sherbrooke, Quebec, product hit all 18 of his home runs across the last 33 games of the season, leading the nation in that stretch. Lachance paced OU in hits (81), home runs (18), RBI (69), total bases (151), slugging percentage (.609), multi-hit games (25) and multi-RBI contests (17). His 18 home runs ranked tied for eighth for a single season in program history and 69 RBIs on the year ranked tied for 13th in program history. His 31 stolen bags ranked tied for 12th for a single season in program history. Johnson recorded 23 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games this season. The Upper Marlboro, Md., product held opposing hitters to a .205 batting average and had six starts with seven or more strikeouts on the season, going 5.0 innings or longer in eight of his 15 starts.
