NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams closed out their home slate with 14 victories and multiple personal records at the 52nd John Jacobs Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Friday's action kicked off with
Edward Jeans taking second in men's hammer throw, marking 217-6.00 (66.30m). Also in throws, junior
Payden Montana grabbed first in women's shot put, throwing 56-7.50 (17.26m). Following behind,
Abby Moore took second with a throw at 53-3.75 (16.25m),
Paige Low placed third with a PR throw at 52-8.00 (16.05m) and
Faith Ette placed fifith with a throw at 51-6.25 (15.70m).

Cooper Campbell grabbed first place in men's shot put, throwing for 64-00.50 (19.52m), while junior
Bryant Parlin took fourth, throwing a personal record at 57-9.00 (17.60m).

Lauren Jones took first in women's hammer throw, marking a 218-8.00 (66.66m), while senior
Abby Moore grabbed second marking a 197-9.00 (60.29m) and
Geraldine Udo threw for a big PR at 192-8.00 (58.74m) for third place.
Adreanna Parlette placed fifth in women's long jump, marking a 19-00.50 (5.80m), while senior
Nicole Ezeoke leaped to sixth for a mark at 18-10.50 (5.75m).
On the track,
Carson Hockersmith took third in the women's 5,000-meter run, clocking an 18:35.39.
Saturday started on the field where junior
Kayla Kurtz placed third in women's javelin throw, marking 143-3.00 (43.66m).
Redshirt senior
Ja'Sha Sloan cleared 5-7 (1.70m) for second place in women's high jump.
Freshman
Olivia Lueking grabbed first place in women's pole vault once again and cleared 13-5.25 (4.10m). Following behind,
Colleen Clancy finished fourth clearing 12-9.50 (3.90m), while
Abby Bilsbury cleared 12-5.50 (3.80m) for fifth place.
Mikeisha Welcome took first in triple jump, leaping to a wind-aided 44-2.75 (13.48m). Right behind,
Daneesha Davidson finished second with a PR mark at 42-2.00 (12.85mw) moving to No. 8 in OU history,
Nicole Ezeoke leaped a wind-aided PR'd 41-6.50 (12.66m) for fourth place and
Allanah Lee placed fifth with a mark at 41-00.50 (12.51mw).
Lauren Jones once again threw for first place and marked a huge PR at 187-11 (57.28m) in discus to move from No. 5 to No. 2 in program history. Right behind,
Payden Montana marked 166-4 (50.70m)for third, while sohpmore
Paige Low threw for fourht place at 164-5 (50.13m).

Garry Williams took second in men's triple jump, marking 51-3.75 (15.64m), while
Kunle Akinlosotu leaped a big PR at 50-2.75 (15.31m) for third and
Jelaani Davis grabbed fifth with a 48-8.25 (14.84m).
Vernon Turner brought home first in men's high jump, clearing 7-3.75 (2.23m).
Chris Banks grabbed second at 6-11 (2.11m), while freshman
Kason O'Riley finished fourth at 6-11 (2.11m), based on attempts.
On the track, women's 4x100-meter relay squad of
Mikayla Hayes,
Ja'Leesa Giles,
Camri Austin and
Kennedy Blackmon clocked a 44.91 for first place.

Camri Austin took second in the women's 100-meter hurdles, clocking 13.28.
Richard Kuykendoll clocked a 45.96 in the men's 400-meter dash for first place, while
Marlowe Mosley clocked a fourth-place finish at 46.72. On the women's side,
Jai'Lyn Merriweather placed fourth in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.06.
Kennedy Blackmon grabbed the top spot in the women's 100-meter dash, clocking an 11.54 (1.0 wind), while redshirt senior
Ja'Leesa Giles took fifth with a time of 11.81 (1.0 wind). On the men's side,
Josh Bour took fourth in men's 100-meter dash, clocking a 10.48.
Fernando Morales finished fourth in the men's 800-meter run, with a time at 1:52.97.

Isaiah Levingston clocked a 50.97 in the men's 400-meter hurdles for first place.
Kennedy Blackmon grabbed another win on the day by taking first in the women's 200-meter dash, clocking a 23.43. Following behind,
Jada Atkinson ran a PR for second place, with time of 23.69 (-0.3).
Josh Bour was back on the track for the men's 200-meter dash, clocking a PR time at 20.52 (3.0w) for first place. The Sooners showed up right behind with
Karson Kowalchuk taking third with a wind-aided PR time at 20.60 (3.0w),
Richard Kuykendoll PR'ing a wind-aided time at 20.79 (3.0w)and
Alajuwan Robinson taking seventh with a personal record time at 20.95 (3.0w).
The Sooners closed out the meet with a first-place finish in the men's 4x400-meter relay. The squad of
Marlowe Mosley,
Isaiah Levingston,
Jaylen Barringer and
Richard Kuykendoll clocked a 3:07.47.
