NORMANĀ - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams are set to host their final home meet of the season, the John Jacobs Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 22-23, at the John Jacobs Track Complex in Norman, Okla.
The two-day meet is slatedĀ to host athletes from 19Ā teams, with 71 Sooners slatedĀ to compete on their home turf.
Friday's competition is set to begin with the men's hammer throw, women's shot put and women's long jump at 5 p.m. CT. Running events will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the women's 5,000-meter run.
Saturday will start with field events at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin throw, while running events are scheduled for 12:20 p.m. with the women's 4x100-meter relay.

SOONERĀ INVITATIONALĀ REWIND
Friday's action kicked off with aĀ broken school record in women's hammer throw from redshirt senior
Lauren Jones, marking 228-6.00 (69.66m) to win her first place and put her first in the Big 12. Following behind, senior
Abby Moore took second with a mark atĀ 196-2.00 (59.79m), while junior
Geraldine Udo marked 173-10.00 (53.00m) for fourth place.
The throws squad continued to show off in women's shot put, with junior
Payden Montana taking first with a PR mark atĀ 57-2.75 (17.44m). Right behind,
Faith EtteĀ (15.98m),
Abby Moore (15.94m) and
Paige Low (PR 15.58m) took second, third and fourth, respectively.
Continuing the pattern, senior
Bayley Campbell broke his own school record in men's hammer throw, markingĀ 227-05 (69.33m) for second place, while redshirt senior
Edward Jeans threw a PR atĀ 218-04 (66.55m) for third place.
The school records were closed out by redshirt senior
Cooper Campbell in men's shot put, marking a personal bestĀ 65-5.50 (19.95m), taking first place.Ā
Senior
Nicole Ezeoke leaped a personal record at 19-01.25 (5.82m) in women's long jump for fifth place, while
Khyland WallaceĀ took fourth in men's long jump, marking a 23-5.25 (7.14m).
Newcomer
Colin CasoĀ grabbed second in the men's 5,000-meter run, shaving 28 seconds off his personal record with a time of 15:07.90.
Saturday started off with aĀ first place finish in women's javelin throw from
Kayla Kurtz, marking 144-07 (44.07m), while freshman
Ariel Pedigo took third with a mark at 127-4.00 (38.81m).Ā
Payden Montana threw for first place, marking 171-7.00 (52.30m) in women's discus throw.
Paige Low tookĀ third with a PR throw at 168-0.00 (51.56m).
Ariel Pedigo tookĀ fourth in women's high jump, tying her PR at 5-5.00 (1.65m), while
Chris Banks finishedĀ fourth in men's high jump, clearing 6-8.75 (2.05m).
Madison Langley-Walker grabbed second in the women's heptathlon with 5,287 points, as well as setting a PR in 100-meter hurdles.
Kunle Akinlosotu tookĀ second in triple jump, marking 48-9.50 (14.87m), while
Jelaani Davis leaped to 48-2.50 (14.69m) for fourth place.
On the track the women's 4x100-meter relay squad of
Deja Shaw-Huckaby,
Jada Atkinson,
Grace Posey and
Kailey Carnine took secondĀ with a time of 47.36. For the men,
Karson Kowalchuk,
Joseph Sheffield,
Alajuwan Robinson and
Josh BourĀ finished third, clocking 40.58.
Junior
Elise WelchĀ made her 1500-meter debut with a second-place finish at 4:47.13.
Senior
Jai'Lyn MerriweatherĀ took first in the 400-meter dash, clocking a 53.62, while newcomer
Jenna James ran a 57.66 for fifth place. For the men, junior
Richard KuykendollĀ also came out with a first-place finish, clocking a 47.24.
Redshirt senior
Camri AustinĀ clocked a 13.35 in the women's 100-meter hurdles for first place.Ā
Kennedy Blackmon grabbed first place in the women's 100-meter dash, with a wind-aided time of 11.51 (2.3). Following behind,
Mikayla Hayes (11.69),
Ja'Leesa Giles (11.89) and
Jada Atkinson (11.97) took second, fifth and sixth, respectively.
On the men's side,
Josh BourĀ clockedĀ a PR at 10.28 (1.8 wind) for second and
Karson KowalchukĀ tookĀ third with a 10.38 (1.8 wind) in the men's 100-meter dash.
Jordyn Kaplan clockedĀ a personal best at 2:13.10 in the women's 800-meter run for fourth place.
In the women's 400-meter hurdles,
Jania Hodges grabbed second in the women's 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 1:01.20.
Josh Bour took fifth in the men's 200-meter dash, with a time of 21.63.Ā
Closing out the meet, the men's 4x400-meter relay squad of
Marlowe Mosley,
Isaiah Levingston,
Jaylen Barringer and
Richard KuykendollĀ clocked a 3:08.69 for first place.
