Sooners T8th After Mountain View Collegiate Second Round

NORMAN – Meagan Winans fired a 3-under 69 to lead the Sooners on the sound day of the Mountain View Collegiate.
Winans closed the front nine with three-consecutive birdies. She added a birdie on the 12th before a double-bogey dropped her back to 2-under. Winans concluded her round with a birdie.
Hannah Screen is tied for ninth after firing a 2-under 70. She entered her final hole of the day 3-under and a bogey dropped her back to 2-under.
Libby Winans finished the second round tied (T34) with sister Meagan. The elder Winans finished her first nine holes 1-under and kept her scorecard clean on the back nine.
Mikhaela Fortuna (2-over, 74) and Maria Fernanda Martinez (5-over, 77) rounded out the OU lineup.
Kaylee Vesely, OU's line individual in the field, tallied four birdies and finished 1-over 73.
