LINCOLN, Neb. - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams completed day one of the two-day Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., on Friday night.

The Sooners will return to action for day two at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, beginning with the women's 200-meter dash.

Olivia Lueking broke the school record in women's pole vault, previously held by Lueking herself, clearing a personal best at 14-4 (4.37m).

Lauren Jones took second in the women's weight throw, marking 65-8.25 (20.02m).

Mikeisha Welcome placed second by leaping a 19-6 (5.94m) in women's long jump.

Closing out the day for field events, redshirt senior
Rayvon Allen leaped to first place with a mark of 24-7 (7.49m) in men's long jump, while redshirt senior
Vernon Turner finished fifth, leaping a 23-10.25 (7.27m).

Camri Austin won her heat in the women's 60-meter hurdles prelims, clocking an 8.40 to advance to the finals tomorrow. On the men's side, redshirt senior
Jasher Foster came out victorious in his heat with a time of 7.90 to move on to the finals.

In the 60-meter dash prelims, a total of five Sooners punched their ticket to the finals. For the women, freshman
Mikayla Hayes clocked a PR of 7.61, redshirt senior
Ja'Leesa Giles (7.63), senior
Kennedy Blackmon (7.65) and
Camri Austin (7.65). For the men, redshirt senior
Karson Kowalchuk clocked a 6.80 to advance tomorrow.

Jai'Lyn Merriweather took second in the women's 400-meter dash, with a time of 55.34. On the men's side, junior
Richard Kuykendoll ran a season-best 47.72 to take first place, while redshirt seniors
Marlowe Mosley (47.92) and
Isaiah Levingston (PR 47.96) took second and third, respectively.

Madeline Medina ran a personal best at 17:31.29, shaving a minute off her previous record, in the women's 5000-meter run to take first place.
