Sooners Conclude Fall at Jim West Challenge

NORMAN - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team concludes its fall schedule at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas at Kissing Tree Golf Club Oct. 23-24.

The event features Colorado, Houston, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulane, Tulsa, UNLV and UTSA.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament starts at 8:30 a.m. both days. The field will play 36 holes on Sunday and the final 18 on Monday.

The Sooners have competed in three tournaments through the fall. Oklahoma had its best performance at the Schooner Fall Classic, finishing sixth. OU last competed at the Illini Invitational and finished 14th.

Mikhaela Fortuna led the Sooner lineup at the Illini Invite and placed 34th with a 2-under 214. Fortuna has led OU in two of the three fall events.

In addition to Fortuna, Raychel Nelke, Meagan Winans, Maria Fernanda Martinez and Nina Lang are in the OU lineup for the Jim West Challenge. Kaylee Vesely is competing as an individual.

Fans interested in watching the Jim West Challenge can tune in on ESPN+. Sunday coverage starts at 12 p.m. and Monday the live stream starts at 9 a.m.

Meagan Winans, So.., Richardson, Texas: Opened the season in the lineup at the Carmel Cup ... Played in two of three tournaments to open the fall slate ... FORMAT

Fifty-four holes will be played over two days with 36 holes on Sunday, Oct. 23 and the final 18 holes on Monday, Oct. 24. The field will tee off at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on both days.
