OU T&F Breaks Records in Arkansas

January 14, 2022 | Track and Field

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Oklahoma track and field was back in action after a month-long break to kick off the 2022 indoor season in Fayetteville, Ark., at the Arkansas Invitational.

The Sooners ended the day with a broken school record and three broken Arkansas Invite records.  The team collected seven victories.

"Today was a great day of track and field for our program," said head coach Tim Langford. "Our field event athletes owned the day. Just like we did at K-State, our throwers took home three meet records (Cooper Campbell, Lauren Jones, and Payden Montana) and Olivia Lueking broke a school record in pole vault. Additionally, multiple personal records were set in this first meet back from the Christmas holiday. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

"I believe that seeing new names at the top of the leaderboard combined with our veterans shows the staff's hard work to make the success of the program lasting." - Tim Langford
