EUGENE, ORE. — Oklahoma's women's track and field teams closed out the 2021 outdoor season and the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., Saturday evening.
The women closed their competition with four All-America honors, two accredited to junior Madison Langley-Walker.
Langley-Walker concluded the week with two second team All-America accolades, earning them in the women's 400-meter hurdles and high jump. The junior from Philadelphia, Pa., clocked a 58.15 in the semifinals of the hurdles, finishing in 12th. In the high jump, Langley-Walker cleared a height of 5-11.25 (1.81m) to finish in a tie for 11th. The junior holds the school record in the 400-meter hurdles, setting it this season.
Sophomore Mikeisha Welcome competed in the women's triple jump for the Sooners. Welcome jumped 43-10.75 (13.38m) en route to becoming a second team All-American with an 11th-place finish. The sophomore earned her second All-America honors on the year, earning first team All-America honors at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships.
On the track, junior Kennedy Blackmon collected second team All-America accolades in the women's 200-meter dash. Blackmon clocked a 23.37 in the semifinals of the race on Thursday evening to secure the honors.
Senior Falyn Reaugh closed her career Saturday evening in the women's high jump, clearing 5-8 (1.73m). Reaugh finishes her career third on OU's all-time top-10 list, setting the mark this season.
