NORMAN — Oklahoma's men's and women's track and field teams are scheduled to complete their home-meet slate, hosting the 51st John Jacobs Invitational on Saturday, April 24, at the John Jacobs Track Complex in Norman, Okla.
The meet is slated to host three full teams in Oklahoma, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Student-athletes from additional teams are expected to compete but won't make up a complete team. OU will compete 73 student-athletes at the final home meet of the 2021 outdoor season.
The one-day meet is scheduled to begin with the men's and women's javelin throw at 10:30 a.m CT. OU will honor it's 25 seniors at a senior recognition ceremony, as well as the two Sooners being awarded the Owen Hewett award, prior to the running events. Track competition will begin at 1 p.m., starting with the men's 4x100-meter relay.
Live results can be found via Delta Timing. The meet will be live streamed through SoonerSports.tv as a premium stream. Admissions to the meet is OU pass list only.
J.D. MARTIN INVITATIONAL REWIND
Oklahoma's men's and women's track and field teams closed out the Sooner Invitational at the John Jacobs Track Complex in Norman, Okla., with 19 victories, 13 coming from Saturday's action.
The Sooners' first win of day two came from senior Falyn Reaugh in the women's high jump. Reaugh cleared 1.77 meters, matching her personal best.
OU's women's 4x100-meter relay team of Deborah Giffard, Dai'Lyn Merriweather, Ja'Leesa Giles and Kennedy Blackmon took first, clocking 45.55 in the race. The men secured the event sweep, running a 40.02. The men's squad consisted of Jackson Webb, Joseph Sheffield, Quoi Ellis and Demarius Smith.
Junior Chris Banks tallied the Sooners' fourth win, clearing a height of 2.02 meters in the men's high jump. Freshman Keith Drapeau joined Banks in the event, finishing two spots behind him with a height of 1.97 meters in his outdoor debut.
In the running events, redshirt junior Isaiah Levingston notched a win and personal record in the men's 400-meter dash. Levingston clocked a 46.21 in the race. Seniors Devaniel Dale and Smith finished fourth and fifth, running times of 47.71 and 48.57, respectively.
Senior Camri Austin ran a 13.63 in the women's 100-meter hurdles to secure the win. Austin was the lone Sooner in the race.
The men's 100-meter dash went to the Sooners following a victory from redshirt senior Webb. Webb ran a 10.36 and was joined by Ellis and Sheffield in the event. Ellis finished third with a 10.72, while Sheffield went fourth with a 10.76.
Senior Lauren Jones capped off her perfect weekend, going two-for-two in her events. Her second win on the meet came in the women's discus throw, where she recorded a mark of 53.40 meters. Sophomore Payden Montana finished third, throwing 50.59 meters.
The men's decathlons came to an end with junior Kristo Simulask securing the win. Simulask tallied a personal best 7,116 points to put him seventh on OU's all-time top-10 list. The junior was joined by fellow junior Will Kubicek who took seventh with a personal best 5,987 points. The two athletes notched personal records in the discus portion of the multis, with Simulask throwing 40.33 meters and Kubicek 35.18 meters.
Senior Jasher Foster took first in the men's 400-meter hurdles, clocking 53.04 to secure the win.
In the women's 200-meter dash, senior Ja'Leesa Giles earned the win with a time of 24.00. Giles's victory was the Sooners' 11th on the day. Austin finished fourth, running a 24.64.
OU swept the triple jump, with sophomore Mikeisha Welcome winning first on the women's side. Welcome jumped 13.34 meters, while junior Allanah Lee marked 12.78 meters to take third. On the men's side, senior Rayvon Allen jumped a personal best 16.12 meters.

The Sooners will travel to the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Ariz., for their last regular season meet on May 1.
