NORMAN ā The Oklahoma wrestling program is set to play host to No. 15 Northern Iowa in a Big 12 dual set for 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The Sooners (3-4 overall, 1-3 Big 12) return to McCasland Field House after a weekend in the Dakotas, where Oklahoma suffered a pair of defeats to Big 12 foes, North Dakota State and South Dakota State. Saturday's match marks the start of a three-dual home stretch where the Sooners will welcome UNI on Saturday, No. 18 Iowa State on Feb. 9 and Air Force on Feb. 14.

Northern Iowa (5-3 overall, 4-1 Big 12) is fresh off a 19-15 win vs. then-No. 8 Oklahoma State on Jan. 25 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Panthers were named the NCAA Team of the Week after the victory.
OU Wrestling will also be honoring the United States Military during the dual and will be passing out OU Wrestling camouflage t-shirts to the first 150 fans at the dual.Ā
LAST TIME OUT
Oklahoma closed out its road trip through North and South Dakota with a loss to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (7-4 overall, 4-2 Big 12), 23-16, at Frost Arena in Brookings, S.D., on January 26. The Sooners claimed four of the dual's matches, while SDSU pulled away with six victories.
Anthony Mantanona (174) picked up his team-high ninth pin of the season, preserving his undefeated record (7-0) in dual action. The pin was the Palm Desert, Calif., native's fifth fall in his last seven victories, and he sits at fourth in NCAA DI competition for falls.
Dom Demas (141) earned the 18th win of his redshirt sophomore campaign as the reigning Big 12 champion earned an 8-2 decision for OU.
Other Sooner victories came from
Justin Thomas (157), who earned a major decision and
Anthony Madrigal (133), who blanked SDSU's Zach Price 6-0.
SOONERS IN THE RANKINGS
Dom Demas is ranked fifth at 141 by InterMat, seventh by Flo and ninth by Trackwrestling.
Jake Woodley (197) is 14th, according to Flo, 16th per InterMat and 18th in Track's rankings.
Justin Thomas finds himself ranked 17th by Track, and then 19th by InterMat and 20th by Flo.
Anthony Madrigal makes an appearance in all three polls, ranking 16/14/20 in Flo/Inter/Track respectively. The final Sooner ranked is
Anthony Mantanona at 174 as he continues to climb the rankings, earning the No. 10 spot on Flo's list, followed by 17th in Track and 18th in InterMat.

Jake Woodley (197). OU's returning qualifiers have combined for an impressive 51-28 combined record on the season. In dual action this season, Demas, Moody, Thomas and Woodley are a combined 18-8.
In addition to the four returning qualifiers,
Anthony Madrigal (133) and
Anthony Mantanona (174) have both been solid veterans for the Oklahoma squad. Madrigal (15-7) has gone 8-2 against ranked opponents, defeating then-Nos. 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 25. Mantanona (15-4) leads the team in wins via fall with nine pins, including in five of his last seven victories.
DEMAS DOMINATING
Redshirt sophomore
Dom Demas (141) has carried the momentum from his All-American redshirt freshman season into the 2019-20 campaign. The reigning Big 12 champion is 7-1 in dual action and has earned top-three finishes at all three tournaments: second place at the Michigan State Open, first place at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic and third place at the Cliff Keen Invitational.

The Columbus, Ohio, native leads the team in wins (18) and technical falls (5) and is second in pins (4).
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
UNI is riding a four-dual win streak, most recently knocking off then-No. 8 Oklahoma State, 19-15. The Panthers boast a roster the features seven wrestlers inside the Top 25, including three in the Top 10.
Oklahoma has squared off with Northern Iowa 17 over program history, and now meet annually in Big 12 play. The first meeting came in 1926 when the Panthers defeated the Sooners 26.5-9.5, and UNI owns the series streak 9-8 with the Sooners' last victory coming in Norman in 2017 (27-13).
