NORMAN ā Oklahoma women's golf has added sophomore transfer Hannah Screen, head coach
Veronique Drouin-Luttrell announced Tuesday. Screen joins the Sooners from the University of Houston, where she was named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team in her freshman season.
Hailing from Berkhamsted, U.K., Screen is ranked No. 100 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankins, 109 in the Golfstat Player Rankings and 152 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
"We're very excited to have Hannah join our team," said Drouin-Luttrell. "She's a fantastic player with a lot of college tournament experience. She'll be a great addition to our team and we look forward to working with her."
In one and a half seasons of collegiate golf, Screen has racked up nine top-20 finishes, including seven top-10 showings.
As a freshman, Screen helped lead the Cougars to a conference title with a 72.97 scoring average. She earned five top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-five showings. She tied for sixth in the American Athletic Conference Championship.
In the fall portion of the 2019-20 season, Screen averaged a score of 71.58 over four events and claimed a top-10 placing in two tournaments.
Screen also brings a wealth of international experience to Norman, competing as a member of the English National Girls Team from 2016-18. She earned numerous recognitions throughout youth competition as an English Junior Schools Champion, County Champion, 2016 Scottish U16 Champion and 2016 Junior BMW Daily Telegraph Champion.
