Women's Golf Releases 2019-20 Schedule

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell and Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione announced the Sooners' 2019-20 tournament schedule Wednesday.

The Sooners will participate in nine regular-season events, including the seventh-annual Schooner Fall Classic in Norman.

"We're really excited about this season's schedule," said Drouin-Luttrell. "Our team can expect a challenge in both the tournament fields we face and the courses we'll play. We can't wait to get started.”

Oklahoma opens the season in Charleston, S.C. at the Cougar Classic on Sept. 8-10 at Yeamans Hall Club.

The Sooners then return home for the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 27-29. Hosted in partnership with the Toby Keith Foundation at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman, the Schooner Fall Classic continues to be one of the premiere regular-season tournaments in college golf.

Oklahoma continues its fall schedule with the Illini Women's Invitational on Oct. 7 and 8 at Medinah Country Club in Chicago and the Jim West Challenge at the Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas, on Oct. 20-21.

OU finishes its fall slate in The Bahamas when it takes part in the inaugural White Sands Invitational, held at the Ocean Club Golf Course in Nassau Oct. 28-30.

The season resumes on Feb. 23 and 24 when the Sooners travel to Peoria, Ariz., for the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club. The Sooners won the event in 2017 and claimed second in 2018.

Oklahoma then heads to Coral Gables, Fla., for the Hurricane Invitational, played Mar. 2- 3 at Biltmore Golf Club.

The Sooners close the regular season with two more tournaments Arizona, beginning with the Clover Cup on Mar. 13-15 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa. Oklahoma has finished in the top four of the Clover Cup in each of the last five seasons, with a Sooner claiming the individual title on four occasions. Sophomore Libby Winans won the 2019 edition.

OU wraps the regular season at Papago Golf Club in Tempa, Ariz., for the prestigious PING/ASU Invitational, held Mar. 27-29.

The 2020 Big 12 Championship will be held in April 24-26 at the Dallas Athletic Club and the 2020 NCAA Championships will be held May 22-27 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
