NORMAN – No. 22 Oklahoma remains in third place after the second round of the ASU Ping Invitational, firing a 291 (+3) on Saturday. The Sooners hold a two-round score of 580 (+4) with 18 holes remaining at the par-72, 6,430-yard Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz.

The Sooners are in a three-way tie for third and trail first-place Stanford by nine strokes. The loaded 14-team field features nine top-25 teams, including three in the top five of the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.

Oklahoma played strong throughout the day, but the five Sooner golfers shot a combined 9-over on the final two holes.

"We played solid all day but struggled to finish our round," said OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell. "Our games are in a great spot heading into tomorrow, we just need to continue to fight."

Following up on a 68 (-4) on Friday, sophomore Kaitlin Milligan carded four birdies for the second day in a row. The sophomore scored a team-best 70 (-2) and boasts a 36-hole total of 138 (-6). Milligan is tied for second place and trails the nation's top-ranked golfer, Andrea Lee of Stanford, by one stroke.

Joining Milligan in the top 20 is senior Julienne Soo, who shot a 74 (+2) on Saturday and owns a two-day score of 146 (+2).

After shooting a 6-over 78 in the opening round, freshman Libby Winans bounced back on Saturday with five birdies and an even-par 72. The rookie is tied for 46th.

Sophomore Hannah Lee is tied for 52nd at 151 (+7) and freshman Mikhaela Fortuna is in 58th with a 153 (+9).

Oklahoma will remain in the top group for Sunday's final round, being paired with golfers from Stanford and Arizona State. The Sooners will tee off at 10:30 a.m. CT off the first hole.
