NORMAN – Skyler Miller and
Marcelina Podlinksa of the OU women's tennis team are set for the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic this weekend as they travel to Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
The tournament runs Nov. 1-3 and is the only ITA event played on clay each year. The highly-competitive field includes players from Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Auburn, Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Florida.
Podlinska (4-2) and Miller (6-1) will look to build on strong performances in their last outings at the ITA Central Region Championships, where Miller advanced through qualifying to the round of 64 and Podlinska made a round of 16 appearance.
Podlinska and Miller will compete in the 32-player singles draw and will team up for the 16-team doubles competition.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit Dick Vitale's V Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Draws and a schedule will be released at a later time.
