Women's Golf Releases 2017-18 Schedule

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell and Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione announced the Sooners' 2017-18 tournament schedule Friday.

"Once again, we were able to put together a very competitive schedule," said Drouin-Luttrell. "The courses, locations and fields we'll compete against will challenge and better our team throughout the season."

Oklahoma opens its season with the Jim West Invitational on Sept. 11-12 in The Woodlands, Texas, before hosting the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 23-25. The fifth-annual Schooner Fall Classic, held in partnership with The Toby Keith Foundation, will take place at Belmar Golf Club in Norman.

The Sooners play back-to-back tournaments in Central Texas, taking part in The Betsy Rawls in Austin on Oct. 9-10 and the Alamo Classic in San Antonio on Oct. 22-24.

OU closes its fall schedule with the Battle at the Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Nov. 3-5. The event is the Sooners' first tournament outside of the United States since the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in 2011.

Oklahoma begins the spring slate in Peoria, Ariz., on Feb. 25-26 in the Westbrook Invitational. The Sooners then head to Florida for the Miami Invitational in Coral Gables on March 5-7.

Junior Julienne Soo will look to defend her individual title at the Clover Cup on March 16-18 in Mesa, Ariz. Soo shot a program-record three-round score of 203 (-13) to lead the Sooners to a second-place finish in the 2016 edition of the Clover Cup.

The Sooners wrap up the regular season at the Clemson Invitational on Lake Keowee in Sunset, S.C., on March 23-25.

Postseason play begins with the Big 12 Championship at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, Texas on April 20-22. NCAA Regionals take place May 7-9 at four sites (Stanford, Calif., Austin, Texas, Madison, Wis. and Tallahassee, Fla.) and the 2018 NCAA Championships will be held May 17-22 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.
