SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Jess Woodard was the highlight for the Sooners at the United States Track and Field Association Senior National on Saturday.
Woodard finished eighth in the shot put after taking 11th in the discus Thursday. She recorded a 57-5.75 on her first attempt and had four more legal throws and a foul. None of her other attempts improved her ranking.
Baileh Simms recorded a 19-3.50 in the long jump on her first attempt, then had fouls on her last two attempts. She finished 13th.
The final former Sooner to compete on the meet's third day, Candyce McGrone, recorded a 23.66 in the 200 and finished 27th. She did not advance to the semifinal.
The final day of the meet will feature two former Sooners. Will Claye, who won the triple jump Friday, is scheduled for the long jump at 2:10 p.m.
The men's steeplechase final, including
Dylan Blankenbaker, is scheduled for 4:16 p.m.
