NORMAN – After two rounds of the Big 12 Championship, the No. 20 University of Oklahoma women's golf team sits in ninth place. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is taking place at the par-72, 6,263-yard Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
The Sooners posted a 306 (+18) in Saturday's second round to bring their 36-hole total to 607 (+31).
With a 591 (+15), No. 23 Texas holds first place followed by No. 18 Oklahoma State in second place at 594 (+18). Texas Tech and Kansas are both tied for third place at 598 (+22) and TCU is in fifth at 599 (+23).
Valerie Tanguay is pacing the Sooners in the tournament with a two-round 148 (+4) to share seventh place. The junior pocketed three birdies on Saturday for a 74 (+2).
Rylee Pedigo carded a 77 (+5) and is tied for 17th place. Pedigo finished the second round with a total score of 150 (+6) after sinking a birdie on the 15th hole.
Julienne Soo ended the day shooting 80 (+8) and is tied for 3oth place at 155 (+11), and junior Ana Ruiz shared 34th place at 156 (+12). Ruiz posted a 77 (+5) in the second round.
Junior Hannah Wood is in 42nd place at 158 (+14) after tallying a 78 (+6) on Saturday.
